It has been my dream for many years to start Final Moments Veterinary Care. Life is a beautiful journey, full of both joy and heartache, and it has taken both to lead me to the point where I am ready to live out this dream. My hope is that the experiences in my life will help me to be there for you and your pet in one of the most difficult moments you will face. And I hope that I can make that moment for you just a little bit easier.

I graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2001, and have been practicing in Omaha ever since. I was in General Practice for most of those years, and then two years ago I moved to Emergency Medicine / Urgent Care to help more critically ill and injured pets. I have loved every aspect of being a Veterinarian, but have noticed a void along the way. That void is the inability for me to provide end of life care in a peaceful, stress free setting. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is so very heartbreaking. Being at home or in a familiar setting, surrounded by loved ones, can make the process a little bit easier.

At Final Moments Veterinary Care, our mission is to provide end of life care in a way that reduces pain, stress, and fear, for both the pet and the family. We will provide compassionate care so that your pet may pass peacefully, in a setting that is comfortable for them, surrounded by the people they love and trust. We will provide support for the family and allow time to grieve before, during, and after your pet takes their final breath.

We are here to answer any questions that you may have about the euthanasia process. We know the decision to let your pet go is not easy, and you may have questions or doubts. It never feels like the right time to say goodbye. Our hope is that we can provide support and comfort during this time. We know that you will be sad; that is expected and we don't want to change that. Grief is normal and necessary to heal. Our hope is that in your sadness, you will still feel peace.

Yours in Faith,
Dr. Sokol

I’m a Licensed Veterinary Technician who has dedicated my career to providing compassionate,
personalized care for animals and their families. I earned my Associate of Applied Science in
Veterinary Technology from Vatterott College in 2007 and have spent nearly two decades
working in the veterinary field.

Over the years, I have discovered my true calling in supporting pets and their families through end-of-
life care. I believe that saying goodbye should be peaceful, comfortable, and filled with love —
not fear or stress. My goal is to create meaningful, gentle experiences that allows pets to pass
surrounded by familiarity and warmth, rather than the anxiety of a clinical environment.

I bring a calm, empathetic presence to every interaction and take the time to ensure families feel
supported and informed throughout the process. Whether I’m helping a beloved companion cross
the Rainbow Bridge at home or guiding a family through difficult decisions, I approach each
moment with grace, patience, and respect.
